Very good malasadas. We stopped in about noon or so and they had sold out of most items but we did snag some malasadas to take back to Kahana with us

A quaint shop and bakery where we bought Malassada Portuguese fried pastry, looks like donuts on a stick. They also said their donuts on a stick pastry, as they called them and that were different, were world famous.

My family has been getting these donuts ever since I was a kid. My parents grew up as locals and whenever I saw my grandparents, we got Komodo Donuts. So yeah, I may have emotional and nostalgic bias but I’ve never had a better donut stick.

I personally love the ambience with the old style store with character. The cream puffs are the best and we love the malasadas. The staff is usually impersonal and harried. I never feel like I am a welcome customer.
